Favorite Beef Stew

This stew is easy-peasy! It is one of the first meals I make as soon as it become warm enough to light a fire in our fireplace.

Ingredients:
2 lbs stew meat
 2 cartons beef broth
Salt
Pepper
Olive Oil
2 packets McCormick Slow Cookers Beef Stew
Red Potatoes
Carrots
Green Peas
Mushrooms
Parsley

Slice carrots and quarter red potatoes.

Add 2 packets of McCormicks Slow Cooker Hearty Beef Stew.
Your secret weapon!

Season flour with salt and pepper.
Flour stew meat.

Heat a few teaspoons olive oil in a pan.
Thoroughly brown stew meat in small batches.

Combine in a crock pot and cover with the beef broth.
Add chopped parsley.
Here is the really hard part - Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
I promise, you can handle this. :)

An hour before your ready to partake in this wonderfully smelling stew add button mushrooms(7 or 8 cut in half) and a splash of frozen green peas.
Taste for seasoning. I generally find I need to adjust the seasoning with a teaspoon of salt and a 1/2 teaspoon pepper(the freshly ground stuff).

 Serve over egg noodles.

I promise you will not regret adding this to next weeks dinner menu.
